A Picture Really is Worth a Thousand Words –
It is an old tried and true saying that is most appropriate when servicing engineered equipment.
Our Service Manager, Mr. Jay Hoar, is adamant that when our services techs are on a job site they document their work in both written words and photos.
This simple practice has proven most helpful for both our company and more importantly, our customers.
Case in point; over the Holidays many companies rely on personnel that are not typically tasked with maintaining their boilers or compressor packages.
Recently, we had received an emergency call from a customer on the west coast that could not get their CNG compressor to run and requested we send a technician immediately.
In trying to ascertain what the problem was Jay asked the customer to send him a photo of the control panel to see what faults were indicated.
Upon receiving the photo, he sent back a photo our service techs took at the time of start-up. Our photo clearly shows that the keys need to be in panel and turned to the “on” position.
Problem solved!
