The Amot temperature sensor has the ability to sense temperature of various liquids and gases is most important to protect reciprocating engines and industrial equipment. The Amot line of temperature sensors are designed to accurately sense temperatures on natural gas diesel or gasoline engines, pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment.
The Amot Model 2230/4430 temperature sensing valves are normally closed, 2-way valves that will open by increasing temperature of engine cooling water, lubricating oil, high pressure gas or other fluids. These valves have also been used to sense high bearing or packing temperatures. When the valve opens it will vent control pressure from an Amot Master safety control such as the Amot Model 1476 and will shutdown the engine.
Temperature settings for the 2230/4430 are available in 5o F increments from 95o to 245o F. A high temperature unit is also available up to 265o F. Models are also available with temperature sensing element extensions from 2-3/16″ to 5″. The maximum pressure at the IN port is 125 psi; the maximum external pressure on the temperature sensing element is 800 psi.
