P.C. McKenzie Company Celebrates 75 Years
P. C. McKenzie Company celebrates 75 years of service; an accomplishment that is most unlikely for a small business. In fact, the NY Times reports that “Small businesses fail all the time. Gene Marks, author of The Small Business Desk Reference, says the average lifespan is about eight and half years.” This past year has been especially brutal for small businesses due to the pandemic with predictions that one in three will not survive.
It has been a difficult period, perhaps the worst in our lifetime, but we continue to grow. The world is changing around us and as a business we continue to evolve. The next 25 years will be most interesting and we look forward to the challenges we will face.
We want to acknowledge and thank the previous generations that took us from 1946 to today. Their guidance, commitment and ethics are the foundation of our business.

1946 – Paul C. McKenzie Incorporates P. C. McKenzie Company
Established in 1946 and located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, P.C. McKenzie Company has supplied equipment, parts and maintenance services for pipeline customers as well as industrial and commercial boiler applications. P.C. McKenzie has been directly involved with many transmission and distribution compressor stations, supplying the boilers used to warm the buildings and engines to the pilot operated relief valves out in the yard.
Since the early 1990s, P.C. McKenzie Company has also been involved in the supply of NGV Refueling stations and have placed hundreds of compressor packages for NGV refueling through the United States and European Markets.
