Boiler Room Startup at Penn State Harrisburg


 On March 1, 2001, P.C. McKenzie Company conducted a training program for the boiler operators at Penn State University's Harrisburg Campus. This program was the final step in our start-up service.

The training program began with a classroom review of equipment and boiler room management.
The program ended with a tour of the boiler plant. Mr. Michael Baker and Mr. John Mann of P.C. McKenzie Company conducted the course. We were pleased to include customer service staff from both Kewanee Boiler and Burnham Boiler.

P.C. McKenzie Company had furnished two Kewanee 200 horsepower 150 psig steam boilers, water softener, deaerator, condensate receiver, chemical feeds, bottom blowdown separator and flash separator. We worked closely with both the college and the contractor, McClure Company to insure proper installation of the equipment.
