| Amot manufacturers a complete line of bearing temperature detectors. These detectors sense the temperatures of bearings or other surfaces within reciprocating engines or industrial equipment. | ![]() |
The Amot bearing temperature sensors can be found on:
The Amot model 4102 temperature detectors incorporate a time proven heat-detecting principle that provides a safety device suited for low and medium speed engines. A thin film of eutectic alloy, less than .001 cubic inch in volume, secures a spring loaded fuse rod. When the temperature reaches the melting point of the alloy, the fuse rod is released, forcing the rod to move outward 5/16". The response is immediate.
To convert the tripping action of the detector into a useable signal an Amot Model 4095 Vent Valve is required. The 4095 Vent Valve (pneumatic/hydromechanical) is for manual or mechanical tripping when a manual reset is desired. It is a normally closed unit which is ideal for use as a stroke or reach limit valve. The Amot Model 4395 Trip Switch is an electrical version of the Model 4095 and may also be applied with the Amot Model 4102 Temperature Bearing Detector.
